I see you. I see the 3am feed, the temper tantrum in aisle 3, the sitting in a hospital emergency room at 3am texting everyone you know and asking them to pray.

I’ve been there.

I’ve experienced the greatest heights of motherhood (first smiles, first teeth, first steps, first days of school…) and I’ve experienced the lowest of lows (think hospital emergency room, anaphylaxis, parent-teacher interviews, the works).

I started this website because, like me, there are many mothers who have thought to themselves, ‘this wasn’t in the brochure!’ No one tells you how painful breast-feeding can be at first (especially if bub has tongue-tie – ouch!), how soul destroying the sleep deprivation can be, how when your kid doesn’t get invited to ‘that party’ you cry even if they don’t, or how much it’s humanly possible to love another human being, to the point your heart may actually burst out of your chest.

Welcome to motherhood, in all its mess and glory. This website is filled with stories from mothers, just like you, who’ve got more than they bargained for, who are in way over our heads and we can’t wait to see what’s around the next corner.
