I love the comfort and versatility of a great cardigan, but don’t think of them as Nana’s winter wardrobe staple. I thought I’d share three cardigans I’ve loved wearing this winter, frump factor – zero! They’re all from my favourite Australian Fashion Retailer – Metalicus, so they’re easy wash and wear fabrics, and great for travelling.
The great thing about an open cardi, is that it can make you look slimmer by dividing the front of your body vertically. Cardis are flattering for women with a large bust, as a sweater can meld that bustline into something like a shelf attached to the front of you.
This textured red cardi (modelled by Scarlett) is designed to cinch in at the waist to accentuate those womanly curves.
The green cardi is a wool blend 5-way cardigan (although I’ve heard of up to 13 ways to wear it). I’ve added a narrow belt to define Scarlett’s waist.
The charcoal cardi in a lush Ponti fabric is luxe enough for a night out.
