Exam time can be one of the most stressful times of the year – for parents! So mum, dad, I’ve got three A+ exam tips for YOU.
Tip # 1: Start early
Sit down with your child, talk about upcoming exams, and start a routine early. You’ll find pressure at crunch time will be much lower if you do this.
Tip #2: Look at the big picture
If our child has a ‘why’, they’ll work hard at the ‘what’. It’s our job to help them tap into something they can be enthusiastic about so they’ll be more willing to study hard if that’s what is required to reach that goal.
Tip #3: Stay positive
When we feel positive our mind is open to new concepts and we remember more.
Start early, have a strong ‘why’ and stay positive. There will be less anxiety for you and for your teen and exam success will be that much closer.
