This lady never dreamed of doing a ministry like this. Now an accomplished Bible teacher and inspirational speaker, Tania started her professional life teaching school children how to kick a ball and swim backstroke. After a ‘lights on’ moment on the football field and a number of divine arguments later, she signed up for a Masters degree and began her ministry adventure. Growing up in a conservative household where women were confined mostly to the kitchen, becoming a church planter in a beachside suburb of Melbourne broke every rule in her little book… She would still say that this experience was the most defining, terrifying and fulfilling season of her life. Tania has a checkered range of ministry experience from working in cross-cultural missions to caring for homeless youth to developing online training programs. She has even spent time as in the world of academia as lecturer and then Academic Dean – though she always wondered whether a grey beard and a beige cardigan would have assisted in her role. Her ministry God Conversations, inspires and equips others to recognise to the voice of God in the midst of their everyday lives. It has taken her from the peaks of Switzerland to the hallowed halls of Oxford University to upstate New York and across her home country, Australia. She loves that she gets to speak to churches of all denominations and all ages as well as those outside the church walls. Tania would say her ministry is much more suited to her than her first career – she still throws a ball like a girl. When not preparing messages and thinking deeply about the world, Tania loves hiking up very tall mountains and skiing down them, paddling a kayak in the early morning on Sydney Harbour and writing in her favourite café in a very funky corner of the city. Hillsong is her church home in Sydney, Australia.
