Friends dropping by at short notice? Don’t panic. These scones are easy to make, with ingredients you’re bound to have in your pantry and fridge. And yes, you read correctly, one of the ingredients in lemonade! Only good things can come from adding lemonade to any recipe. (Makes about 6)
3C Self Raising Flour
Preheat oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
Place greased baking paper onto a baking tray.
Mix lemonade, cream and flour to a soft dough.
Place onto a floured surface and knead to about 2cm thickness.
Place close together onto the baking tray and brush with the egg.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
I love serving these with fresh whipped cream mixed with 1/2t Vanilla Essence.
Scone, jam, cream & a cup of tea = bliss!
